Sitting in the passenger seat this month is one of the most easily recognizable (and most daring) celebrities of our time. Looking as hot as ‘tom yum’, we managed to pull some strings (hmm…) to get Maia Lee off her hectic schedule to meet us for a quickie… er… I mean quick interview.

HOTstuff: Hi Maia. You seem super energetic this afternoon. Are you always this bubbly?
ML: Howdy ho (ala Mr Hanky)! Thanks a lot, that’s the first time anyone has ever told me I’m bubbly... I’m supposed to be cool... as a rocker. I’ve short outbursts of energy but most of the time I’m dead as a sloth. So, no, I’m not always bubbly (hell, that’s such a sissy word) but I’m friendly. I’m always so, until the moment someone pisses me off.

HOTstuff: Do you prefer to drive or be driven around?
ML: It depends. Only if I’m in the front passenger seat would I like to be driven around. I drive illegally overseas but over here in Singapore, I can’t drive to save my life. I will develop road rage.

HOTstuff: So what is your favourite car?
ML: The one I really want to possess? I want a monster truck. It sounds stupid since we cannot have it in Singapore. I need to over-compensate, you see - I’m really ‘kecik’ and I would feel like I have grown balls if I ride a monster next to lorries. They are irritating.

HOTstuff: Have you ever done anything crazy in a car before? Care to share?
ML: Not fastening my seat belt and standing up in the back seat of a moving convertible along Marine Parade Road and cheering for my buddy Elizabeth who just returned home with a silver medal from Asian Games last year (we were following the team on their victory parade).

HOTstuff: What would you say is your best attribute?
ML: My heart. I have a heart purer than gold and harder than diamond. You can coat me with your dust and dirt but beneath all that, I know I’m just but a kind soul.

HOTstuff: So are you single / attached at the moment? Describe for us your ideal man?
ML: I’m not taken...

Not fastening my seat belt and standing up in the back seat of a moving convertible along Marine Parade Road... walau she dont care about here safety siak... what if she meet with an accident... her poor kids will be an orphan.
